Izmir Institute of Technology Library was established in 1992, the year of establishment of our institute, and it was moved to the library building with an area of 6,100 square meters in 2007, where it still serves.
IZTECH Library building; As a result of the study carried out by the European Libraries Association in 2008, it was included in the 29 best library buildings built in the last 4 years in Europe. In the library building; There are book halls, periodicals hall, individual and group study rooms, meeting halls, mind games hall, multimedia rooms, show centre and cafeteria.
IZTECH Library, which is among the best university libraries in Turkey, aims to make IZTECH members see the library as a starting point for all kinds of information needs with its user-centred service approach, and it constantly improves its services in this direction. It is a pioneering and innovative library that breaks new ground in many areas in the field of librarianship with its comfortable working spaces, information technology tools and infrastructure facilities, and its up-to-date and rich collection at world standards.
