Library Users are Izmir Institute of Technology Academic-Administrative Staff, students and external researchers.
BORROWING CONDITIONS
Membership is not required for library services. Izmir Institute of Technology Academic-Administrative Staff and student are accepted as natural members. In order to take advantages of services, Users need to contact the Circulation Desk with own Institute ID card. All users must have Institute ID card for the offered services (borrowing, returning, time extension, reservation, etc.). Members can only receive materials with their own ID cards. No action is taken on behalf of another user. Users can make reservation on any materials or time extension for materials via library automation program. (In addition see: Library Directions)

Membership is required to use of library services. Industrial Organizations, IZTECH graduates, IZTECH Technology Development Zone corporations can utilize all library facilities (electronic resources, periodicals, multimedia facilities, wireless, etc.) in the library by using the Library Card which will be given from library. Depending on the membership agreement, they can utilize the library services in the direction of packages. (see: External User Directions and Utilization Document)
1. Individual Membership
Individual External Users are personally apply to Library and Documentation Department and accepted members can utilize the all services in the library without paying any fee. For membership applications to be processed the following documents are required; application, photocopy of ID card, a photograph
2. Industrial Organizations
Corporations which are eligible for the membership application can benefit from services and facilities for 1 year after paying 750 TL for membership fees.

4. IZTECH Graduates
IZTECH Graduates are naturally individual member and utilize the all services and facilities (electronic resources, periodicals, multimedia facilities, wireless, etc) in the library. In order to benefit from borrowing service, they must pay 250 TL for deposit.

Lending conditions, fines, and fees are determined by the library commission.
Users who have overdue books are not allowed to borrow a new book without returning the book and paying fines.
All materials except Consultation Resources (Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Handbooks etc.), periodicals, and theses can be borrowed in the framework of the specified rules.
