Guidelines for Safe and Responsible Use of AI Tools

1. Avoid Sharing Personal Information:

  • Refrain from entering personal information such as your name, surname, school ID, address, or phone number into AI tools.
  • Pay attention to the risk of unintentionally sharing personal information, especially in chat-based AI tools.

2. Protect Sensitive Data:

  • Avoid sharing sensitive data such as health information, financial data, or information related to your private life with AI tools. (Such data may be stored by the developers of AI tools or shared with third parties.)

3. Review Privacy Policies of AI Tools:

  • Read and ensure you understand the privacy policies of the AI tools you use. (You can find information about how data is collected, used, and shared in privacy policies.)

4. Use Strong and Unique Passwords:

  • Create strong and unique passwords for the accounts you use to access AI tools. (Do not use the same password for different accounts and remember to change your passwords regularly.)

5. Avoid Unknown or Untrusted AI Tools:

  • Do not download and use AI tools from unknown or untrusted sources.
  • Only use trusted and well-known AI tools.

6. Check Data Sharing Settings:

  • Check the data sharing settings of the AI tools you use and change them if necessary.
  • Ensure you understand who your data is shared with and for what purposes.

7. Report Suspicious Activities:

  • If you notice any suspicious activity while using AI tools, report it to our Library Directorate.

8. Be Aware of Cyberbullying and Misinformation:

  • There are risks such as cyberbullying, misinformation, and deepfakes that may arise from the misuse of AI tools.
  • Be careful in your online interactions and remember to verify the accuracy of the information you encounter.
