Technology Transfer, also called Transfer of Technology (TOT) and Technology Commercialisation, is the process of transferring skills,technologies, methods of manufacturing, samples of manufacturing and facilities among governments or universities.
The Office of Research and Graduate Studies (ORGS) provides leadership and strategic direction for the system wide University of California technology transfer program and is responsible for administration of intellectual property on behalf of the University.
Technology Transfer activities (formerly managed by the Office of Technology Transfer) are managed by two departmental units within ORGS:
